甲板で独りボーっと釣り糸を垂れる船員。
過酷な労働の日々に、一瞬できた空 白。疲れ切った心身。
船員は釣り上げられた小魚に次第に感情移入してゆ く。
海の男の労働歌「Sea Shanty」の中では珍しい、作業以外の時間に歌われ た余暇、
fo'c's'le （フォウクスル／船室）の歌。
バラッド蒐集家、竹内篤氏か ら教わった。
